At 10am enjoy festivities, a flag-raising and as well as cake and refreshments. Bagpipes, musical performances, hot dogs and cake! Everything is FREE! The celebrations occur at Diefenbaker Park and Kirkland House. Canada Day in Langley : Located at Aldergrove Athletic Park, this free, family-oriented event features live musical performances and entertainment, a spray park, playground, and food trucks. A Family Fun Zone will keep kids entertained with bouncy castles, balloon twisters, games, and community booths.
Canada Day in Maple Ridge : The celebration includes a farmers and artisan market, water play area, pony rides, roving entertainers, food trucks, a beer garden and more. In the Rotary Club once again hosted free Canada Day activities, but this time at the Shipyards, and this past year in conjunction with Shipyards Live which is an event that happens at the Shipyards every Friday in the summer.
At the event in there was an opening welcome by representatives of the local Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh First Nations. There was also live entertainment on two stages. Young artists had art displays along the Burrard Drydock. Along the waterfront and in front of the Polygon Gallery there were other things to see and do too.
In Shipyard Commons where the skating rink is in winter there was a splash park. Also in the area were food trucks and a face painting station. There were two stages at the Canada Day event in the Shipyards in Live entertainment on the Rotary Stage at the event in included the following:.
