Day 5: Talkeetna to Denali Enjoy most of the day at leisure in Talkeetna before departing by coach to Denali in the evening. Denali National Park and Preserve. Anchorage encompasses wild adventures and awe-inspiring scenery for a once in a lifetime Alaskan experience. Go fishing in Ship Creek or in winter go dog sledding, skiing and snowmobiling. South of Talkeetna, Denali comes into view. Veering into the backcountry, view the snaking Indian River and Hurricane Gulch from a 90 metre bridge. North of the park, the train winds along Healy Canyon, following the curves of the Nenana River below.
Next visit the spectacular Alaska Native Heritage Center. Departing Anchorage, the Coastal Classic Train meanders through the stretch of pristine wilderness between Anchorage and Seward.
The train winds along Turnagain Arm, where the steep mountains of the Chugach Range plunge directly to the sea. After a late morning arrival in Seward, the train comes to halt on the shores of Resurrection Bay.

Travel by van to Knik River Lodge and take a breathtaking 15 minute helicopter ride up to a glacier. On arrival in Brooks, meet with Park Service staff for a safety orientation. Brooks River and Falls is known worldwide for its large population of Brown bears due to salmon migration.
Spend the remainder of the day exploring Brooks Camp, viewing Brown bears from observation platforms, and hiking on the numerous trails. In the evening, fly back to King Salmon. Stay the next two nights in King Salmon. Partake in the offered park ranger programs.
Spend the day at Brooks, perhaps take a walk on the trails to the observation platforms or take a guided bus tour to the Valley of 10, Smokes extra charge. In the late afternoon fly from Brooks to King Salmon and then on to Anchorage where the tour concludes. At midday, depart for the 60 minute cruise to Fox Island.
Enjoy a short orientation and a delicious lunch. Afterwards settle into your cabin and explore this beautiful area. Look for marine wildlife, steep jagged cliffs, seabirds and calving glaciers. You may even see whales! Return to Seward in the afternoon. In the afternoon depart on a bus transfer to Denali. Stay the next two nights at the Denali park entrance area. Day 2: Juneau Explore Juneau at leisure, a ticket for the Mt Roberts Tramway, the only aerial tramway in southeast Alaska, is included. Glide up through the rainforest to the Mountain House and enjoy expansive views of Juneau and Gastineau Channel. Day 3: Juneau — Bear Viewing Board a classic Alaska bush plane for a 25 minute flight to Admiralty Island where the aircraft will land on the water.
Enjoy around five hours in bear country. Fly back to Juneau in the afternoon. Day 4: Juneau to Gustavus Make your own way to the airport for a 25 minute flight from Juneau to Gustavus. Day 3: Anchorage to Seward L Make your own way to the train station and take the four hour scenic train journey along Cook Inlet and into the glacier filled Kenai Mountains. The park boasts abundant wildlife, alpine and tidewater glaciers and breathtaking scenery.
Watch for Stellar sea lions, seals, puffins, eagles and whales. Stop in front of the glacier to hear it moving and possibly see ice fall into the ocean. Overnight in Seward. Day 4: Seward to Talkeetna Travel by coach to Talkeetna today. Overnight in Talkeetna. Day 5: Talkeetna to Denali Enjoy most of the day at leisure in Talkeetna before departing by coach to Denali in the evening. Enjoy the pristine wilderness and look for wildlife, such as bears, caribou and moose, as well as views of mountain Denali.
Day 7: Denali to Anchorage In the morning there is time for optional activities before departing on the Alaska Railroad to Anchorage. Make your own way to the hotel. Day 8: Anchorage The tour concludes this morning.
